Welcome to San Antonio, TX—a city so amazing, we couldn’t resist calling it home!
Our adventure began in 2013 with Yellowfish Sushi at 9102 Wurzbach. From day one, our mission has been simple: deliver top‑notch value to our “swimmers” (that’s you!) and serve up customer service with a smile. To us, our swimmers are always número uno.
Growing up in Mexico City, we had a serious love for sushi. So we thought, why not mix the bold flavors of Japan with the fiery zest of Mexico? And just like that, “Japamex” was born—a fusion of two delicious worlds!
Fast‑forward to 2017, when we made waves with Pinkfish, San Antonio’s first-ever virtual restaurant. Powered by UberEATS, it was all about delivering sushi straight to your door—no dine‑in, just good vibes and great bites.
Then came 2020, and right before the world flipped upside down, we introduced El Pastor Es Mi Señor—our tribute to the legendary Tacos al Pastor estilo CDMX. We knew San Antonio was ready for this new taco experience, and we were thrilled to bring it to life!
Along the way, our flavors have turned heads far beyond the Alamo City. We’ve been featured in San Antonio Express‑News, MySA.com, CNN, Texas Monthly, and Netflix’s Taco Chronicles—and we’re proud James Beard Foundation Semifinalists.
Through all the ups, downs, and delicious bites, this journey has been one big family adventure—made even better by our amazing team, loyal customers, and incredible vendors. Thanks to you, we keep growing and innovating!
